Elizabethan Cosmovision
This is the Elizabethan Stage, where the plays are interpretated
according to this cosmovision each part of the stage has a meaning, which is listed below:
1.- the Main stage: it simbolized the terrenal world, in this part very rich people payed to be sitting on the stage so they could be seen and show their new dresses and jewelry.
2.- The trap door: this is the encarnation of hell, the character going down the trap are going to hell, and the ones that emerge form this trap are coming from hell.
3.- The upper stage: is the sibolization of Heaven, in the same way that the trap is of the hell.
These buildings were round, square, or many-sided, all were open at the top.
The hut on the top of the roof contained machinery to produce sound effects and various special effects.
